Special Needs Patients

Dr. Kim has acquired an extensive medical background working with children who suffer from complex medical conditions and children with special needs, as she was a respiratory therapist at Kosair Children’s Hospital for seven years before entering the field of dentistry.

Dr. Kim does not believe in using papoose boards, restraints, or any other type of forceful means to get the job done. Extra time is spent with every special needs patent we see in order to make them feel more comfortable about their visit. Often times there is a need for more frequent visits in order for the patients to become more acclimated with our office, which is a need that Dr. Kim is more than happy to meet.
